An early class and feeling a little ill caused me to skip a Friday photo. And then I was home this weekend, which was much needed. Now I feel like I have a fresh start to the week. The only part of the weekend I didn't like was driving on Friday night. I'm still adjusting to all the driving I'm now doing and doing it in the dark by myself can freak me out. Especially in the hills of western Maryland. I probably have another drive this Friday night, but it will be shorter and relatively flat in comparison.

I'm not teaching today, so I dressed a little less formal with skinny jeans and boots. These are the boots I bought on 34th after arriving in NYC during the October Blizzard. They weren't great so that weather, but they were good enough and they're pretty cute.

I'm still working out the self photo thing. I was especially daunting this morning because the light was not great. I love this color combination, but I wish these pants were brighter. If only they were the same shade as my fancy mac red lipstick. Eh, what can you do when you're shopping at Gabes? You can't be too picky there.

I'm not good at smiling in photos, especially when I'm taking it so very early. But here is today's look. I dyed my hair last night and it came out very dark. I should have known when the dye was a little purple. Anyway, this usually fades with a few washings, so I'll just wash my hair everyday for a few days and hopefully it will fade to a more normal color.Shirt- NY&Co., hand me down from a friend

One of my favorite outfits from October. Mostly cause I love the striped shirt with the trench. It makes me feel very french.

So, I feel like I'm in a bit of a style rut, so I'm going to start photographing my outfits again. I'm still trying to figure out the best place to do this. A lot has changed in a year and I don't have crazy office mirrors anymore, so I'm taking pictures where and when I can.

I love these shoes, they are simply fantastic. I tried to wear a similar pair of heels and couldn't make it out the door in them.

Wow, this picture is blurry. Oh well. And I hate how it kind of makes me pregnant. I promise I am not!
