sleepy summer weekend....

I'm afraid this isn't much of a post. The summer has caught up with me and this past weekend was a blur of eating outside swimming and seeing silly movies. I have vacation next week and plan to get a lot of knitting done. Hopefully I can just about finish serrano. The last sleeve is almost done and the rest of the pieces are blocked and sewn together, but this sweater needs a lot of finishing. There are a lot of extra pieces of yarn to sew in and facing and hook and eye tape to be sewn in as well as knitting the collar edge.

And there is a sock. And sock that I hope to use the Russian cast off for. I have been knitting them toe-up and then the top gets tight. So when I read about this on Wendy Knits I thought it was worth giving it a try.

more socks

So, the sockaplaooza socks have yet to come. I have a strange feeling that my socks aren't coming this time. Oh well, they may be there right now, since the dentist's office that picks up the packages didn't leave one out yesterday (long story) it may have been recieved yesterday even.

Oh and for my personal reference for the short row heel that looks ugly. I feel that my evening will be spent re-knitting the heel.

The sockapalooza socks are going out today. And where will they go? Only time will tell.

I didn't get my socks yet, but an exciting package was waiting for me on Friday. I won the sockaplaooza drawing for June and received a gorgeuos skein of sock yarn, crochet hooks and a sheep tape measure. My roommates didn't really understand why a tape measure would come out of a sheep, but I love it. Thanks Alison, Alison, and thanks to simply sock yarn! How did you know that I wanted to try out fleece artist sock yarn?
